When skin contact is detected, it activates within 5 milliseconds to stop the blade and reduce the chance of a catastrophic injury. Direct Saw Interface The built in RS232 port connects the cartridge to the saw so the microprocessor can send the stop signal fast and reliably. That matters because a safety system is only as good as its response time.
